WHAT DOES SELECTING A "WORRYWORT" STUD DOG DO FOR YOU???
Besides knowing that you are using some of the best bloodlines in the world, our males are extensively health tested and titled.
Our home is located near Detroit Metro Airport. If you need to ship your female to us for breeding, we will pick her up and board her for a nominal fee in our home. She will receive the very best of care and be supervised when outside. We do have several reproduction specialists in the area that can ship cooled semen and frozen semen if that is a viable option for you instead of shipping your female.
FEMALE SHEPHERD REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO BREEDING:
We do require that ALL females be brucellosis tested that heat cycle.
Shepherds must have passing OFA hips (excellent, good) and passing OFA elbows. If she has a passing OFA hip fair grading, she must also be PennHIP in the top 50% of shepherds.
Additionally, she must be tested with the OFA DM suseptibility marker gene test (test available through OFA) AND the OFA MDR1 gene test (test availble through Healthgene and Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology Lab). For the gene tests, I will also accept if cleared by parentage.
FEMALE BASENJI REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO BREEDING:
We do require that ALL females be brucellosis tested that heat cycle.
Basenjis must have passing OFA hips (excellent, good) and passing CERF exam and have been tested with the OFA Fanconi marker gene test. For the gene test, I will also accept if cleared by parentage.
Sorry, I do not do stud service for dogs with only OFA prelims. Please get your dogs re-xray'd properly for certification!
